2015 Australian Open Women: Best Time To Approach
The ladies love the net!
It’s definitely a matter of sooner rather than later.
The ladies are putting up very similar number to the men.
When you start a conversation focused on the main differences of the WTA and ATP tours, you always start with the power of the first serve. That is an obvious one. For example, the fastest serve at the 2015 U.S. Open in the women’s draw was Serena Williams at 126mph, and there were six ladies that managed 120mph+. On the men’s side, Milos Raonic hit a 147mph bomb, and 80 players out of 89 recorded hit the 120mph mark.
BUT, there are far more things in common with the men and women once the first serve has been hit.
