Coming forward is still the best option.

Defend, neutralize, then attack.

It’s tougher to come forward, but it’s still the most rewarding tactic.

Because the returning team can’t start the point with a serve, because they don’t get first access to the Center Window, they are at a huge disadvantage in doubles. It’s just a tough hole to get out of to begin the point. Of all the weapons that the returning team can bring to the table to win more matches, a strong, neutralizing return of serve is by far the best.
