Well, once you reach about four, the point is pretty much over. By far the majority of points – an overwhelming amount – are done and dusted in the first four shots. That’s a serve, a return, and maybe a couple of volleys. That’s it. That’s what you need to plan for, because if you are better than your opponents right out of the gates, then you are going to win a lot of doubles matches.
